為主修生醫工程碩士班與博士班學生,以廣度加大,核心主題深度維持的方式介紹生物資訊學的基礎知識、工具以及訓練實作,以期學生對生物資訊學有基礎了解並可以實作與自身研究課題的結合應用。
講授課程(前2小時),以投影片為主,板書與課堂討論輔助;課堂最後一小時為生資軟體操作範例,以提供學生了解課程作業的基本操作並實作練習生物資訊學方法,提供學生未來在自身研究上延伸生資方法的基礎。
生物資訊學,在分子生物學、定量生物學的方法與技術革新下,相輔相成,以電腦科學了解、分析生物核酸、蛋白序列、以及系統生物學中的路徑分析等,提供定量生物分析以及in silico的生物機轉模擬的基礎。本課程將廣泛定義的生物資訊學課題在生醫工程學門下的潛力與應用做介紹並提供學生實作練習機會。 備註 醫工所博士班 課程以英文授課,必要時由教授中文加強解釋。
Bioinformatics has seen a great boom together with the advances in molecular biology and quantitative biology technologies. By using computer science to analyze and understand biological nucleic acid and protein sequences as well as pathways in systems biology, the foundation for quantiative analysis and in silico biological simulation is also established using bioinformatics. In this course, we will introduce broadly bioinformatics to students in biomedical engineering discipline and provide practice of bioinformatics tools to students.
