📜 Course objectives

本課程主要目標為訓練學生在生醫工程相關領域之資料檢索、閱讀學術文獻、匯整論文心得、簡報格式、口頭報告能力與技巧、發問與應答問題、簡潔整理自身研究進度與結果等核心能力。藉由同儕回饋訓練掌握報告方法、資料呈現、時間管控等幫助學生建立流暢報告風格,並輔以課程活動,增進學生對產業的認識。

🚢Course description

先由本所老師與同學討論交流基本口頭與書面報告技巧、課程中也會加入部份工程領域專家的領域介紹。最後由同學彼此進行文獻的研讀與報告以及自身研究之介紹,務求能快速讓專業領域外的同儕了解也可以切中專業之重點,以強化同學學術報告之能力。

This course will start from discussion among professor and students on skills for oral and written presentation. During the course, some other professionals’ introduction will also be added as teaching material. During the course, students will read and present the respective literature as well as their own research. Aiming to promptly introduce the topic to layperson as well as to communicate deeply with professionals, we will strengthen student’s ability on scientific presentation.

Teaching methods

提供博士班同學較深入的訓練,本課程除系上邀請外賓演講外,安排兩個部份的訓練。每個同學上台報告3到4次。

第一部份為短講,在短時間15min-30min內介紹自己的研究主題與成果。

第二部份為文獻回顧訓練,由學生自行搜尋不少於5篇的文獻,在2到3次的報告間完成文獻回顧架構,完成並報告文獻回顧,並寫出可供論文之緒論或回顧論文的架構之書面報告

In depth training to doctoral students is planned. Aside from invited talks, two parts of training will require each student to present 3 to 4 times.

First part will be short talk, please introduce your own research and results in 15-30min.

Second part will be training of literature review. Please search no less than 5 papers of a research topic of your choosing, complete literature review after 2 to 3 presentations and write into a literature review paper. This can be the introduction of your thesis or a review paper you authored.
